Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla restricts protests at Parliament gates after massive scuffle on Dec 19

New Delhi, December 20 (ANI): A Massive Scuffle broke out inside parliament premises on December 19 over Amit Shah’s ‘Ambedkar’ remark. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla issued strict instructions over protests outside the building. As per sources, no political party, MPs, or groups will hold any Dharna, protest at building gates. This came after Parliament witnessed parallel protests from both the Treasury, Opposition benches. INDIA Bloc MPs protested against Amit Shah’s ‘Ambedkar’ remark while BJP MPs were protesting against Congress for "insulting" Baba Saheb. The face-off between BJP, INDIA Bloc MPs pushing and shoving caused injuries to two BJP MPs. BJP MP Pratap Sarangi has claimed that he got injured after Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi pushed MP Mukesh Rajput. However, Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi also claimed that Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge was pushed and fell down. Meanwhile, Delhi Police filed an FIR against Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi for “injuring” two BJP MPs.
