Maharashtra govt inks 54 MoUs at World Economic Forum, CM Fadnavis briefs

Davos , Jan 23 (ANI): On January 23, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis spoke to ANI about the MoUs signed by the state government. He highlighted that Maharashtra successfully secured MoUs worth ₹15.70 lakh crore, approximately ₹16 lakh crore, which are projected to generate around 16 lakh job opportunities. Of these, 54 MoUs are investment-focused, while 7 are strategic collaborations aimed at leveraging expertise from key partners. The agreements span a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, defense production, technology, sustainability, electric vehicles (EVs), education, water management, data centers, and infrastructure. The strong response from global companies at Davos underscores their confidence in Maharashtra's growth potential. “We signed MoUs worth Rs 15.70 Lakh Crores. So, we signed MoUs of around Rs 16 Lakh Crores. These MoUs will generate around 16 lakh employment opportunities. 54 MoUs are around investments and 7 MoUs are strategic MoUs where our strategic partners are bringing knowledge. I think we have got these MoUs in varied sectors. They are from manufacturing, defence manufacturing, technology, sustainability, EV, education, water, data centre, infrastructure. I think all the global companies have shown confidence in Maharashtra and we have got a very good response in Davos”, said Devendra Fadnavis.
