Maharashtra: Women of Borichiwadi village forced to cross river to fetch water

Nashik (Maharashtra), July 14 (ANI): Women of Borichiwadi village are forced to cross a river to fetch water in Nashik of Maharashtra. Despite the scheme of Jal Shakti Department, villagers have been struggling for water. They depend on stored water for the whole year. For 25 years, they have been compelled to store water for four months of the rainy season for drinking water purpose. “We have to cross the river and go to the well to get water. We also store rain water and use it for drinking for many days,” said a woman.
