Maharashtra: Women of Tiradshet Village in Nashik district protest over water scarcity

Pune (Maharashtra), May 28 (ANI): Women of Tiradshet village in Nashik district of Maharashtra on May 27 came out on streets due to water scarcity. They have to struggle every day for the water. “In our village, we need water for our rights. We work whole day as labourers and have to wander here and there to get water,” said a woman. “Under the Jal Jeevan Mission by the Zila Parishad Water Supply Department, these villages are being identified where there is a problem of water. Based on this assessment work has been started. Temporary arrangements are also being made through tankers to overcome the shortage of water,” said Gangatharan, DM, Nashik, Maharashtra.
