‘Match in own-turf’: Abhimanyu Easwaran plays Ranji Trophy match at Abhimanyu Cricket Ground in Dehradun

Dehradun (Uttarakhand), Jan 03 (ANI): There is home-turf and then there is ‘own-turf’, and no Ranji Trophy cricketer has ever played in the latter. Right-handed opening batsman, Abhyimanyu Easwaran has scripted history by scoring a ton on ground named after him. Abhyimanyu showcased his batting skills against Uttarakhand at a ground that was bought by his father. Abhimanyu's father, who is passionate about cricket, bought a huge piece of land in Dehradun in 2005. Easwaran spent a huge amount from his own pocket to build a first-class cricket stadium and named it after his son.
