Mercury soars in J&K, Srinagar records 33 degrees Celsius breaking decade-old records

Srinagar, May 28 (ANI): Kashmir valley experienced an unprecedented heatwave with temperatures soaring to record-breaking levels. It has shattered decades-old records and had a significant impact across the region. According to India Meteorological Department, Srinagar recorded a maximum of 33 degrees Celsius on May 28. The sweltering conditions were widespread across J&K as other areas also witnessed scorching heat. People of Kashmir have been grappling with the aftermath of this unprecedented heatwave. Parts of Jammu and Kashmir have also set new records with extreme temperatures this season.
