Modi Govt working to make Assam, Northeast region terrorism, dispute-free: Amit Shah

New Delhi, Sep 15 (ANI): Centre and Assam government signed a tripartite peace accord with eight Tribal outfits of Assam in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on September 15. Addressing the event, the Union Minister in Delhi said that the Modi Government is working towards making Assam and the Northeast region drug-free, terrorism-free, and dispute-free. “This is an important day for Assam and the Northeast. Many initiatives have been taken by the Modi Government to develop the Northeast region. Around 1100 persons of Adivasi outfits of Assam are surrendering arms and joining the mainstream today,” the Union Minister said. “We want Assam and the Northeast region should be drug-free, terrorism-free, dispute-free and fully developed. Modi government is working towards this,” he added.
