Moscow designers craft giant Kokoshnik
Aug 14, 2023
Moscow (Russia), Aug 14 (ANI/ TV BRICS): Moscow designers have challenged modern fashion. They decided to move away from sewing customary headdresses and create a giant-sized Kokoshnik. The accessory will be presented at the "Russian field" festival, which will be held in the Kolomenskoye museum reserve. The authors of the project plan not only to surprise the guests but also to set a new world record. The project development is completed, materials are selected, and sketches are ready. The kokoshnik is red in color and is almost 2 metres long. The most important thing is that the headdress could be worn by a girl, otherwise, the record will not be counted. But how to keep this huge structure on her head and walk in it? The designers set out to solve this difficult task. The designers managed to create a lightweight frame. The exhibition version of the Kokoshnik will weigh no more than 4 kg so that the models can move freely in it. The weight was reduced, among other things, thanks to the replacement of decorative elements. The "Russian field" festival has been held for 11 years in a row. This year about 70 regions will take part in it, each of which will present their national costumes and headdresses. Everyone will be able to join in - the organisers suggest that guests come in their own kokoshniks. The most original looks will be awarded prizes.
