Feb 01, 2023

Moscow (Russia), Feb 01 (ANI): This wadded Christmas tree is one of the historical symbols of the new year in Russia. The tradition of decorating the holiday tree with such figures has been known since the 19th century. In the 20th century, doll makers joined factories, which allowed them to make wadded toys faster and of higher quality. Moscow toy manufactory has been operating for a couple of years, but has already established itself. The craftsmen create both unique images and replicas of legendary Soviet toys from the 1930s and 1940s. The famous toymakers of Russia made over 10,000 toys and trained 3,500 people in their creation. In addition to the manufactory, the building houses Moscow’s first museum of cotton toys. Here you can find exhibits that are almost 90 years old. Cotton toy factories are springing up in various parts of Russia. Thanks to artel production and modern technology, craftsmen can create high-quality handmade products in a relatively short time. Next year, artists will present a new collection of toys depicting great Russian artists, writers, and musicians.
