MP: 3-day Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention to begin from Jan 08 in Indore

Indore (Madhya Pradesh) Jan 07 (ANI): The Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports will host the 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention in Indore on January 08, 09, and 10. In the past, the 16th Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan was held online in New Delhi in 2021. It will now occur in Indore City following this. In fact, in addition to Yuva Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, Inaugural Day, and Concluding Day, the event’s three-day program includes important theme-based sessions. Yuva Pravasi Bharatiya Divas will be celebrated on January 08, the first day of the conference, to connect with the young migrants. Guyanese president Irfaan Ali and his Sunamese counterpart Chandrikapersad Santokhi are members of the special delegation that will be attending this event. The 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention will be formally launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 09. A digital exhibition on the “Diaspora's Contribution in the Indian Freedom Struggle” will then be opened by him after that. On January 10, 2023, President Droupadi Murmu will end the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award 2023.
