Navsari accident: Ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakhs to next of kin of each deceased announced

Navsari (Gujarat) Dec 31(ANI): A horrifying road accident took place on December 31 in Navsari, Gujarat on National Highway 48. A head-on collision between a car and a bus killed 9 and left several injured. Police and medical administration immediately reached the spot and admitted the injured to the hospital. Informing about the accident, RMO Dr Kiran Shah said, “The injured were brought to the hospital. Those who had suffered minor injuries were treated and sent home. 9 died in the incident and post-mortem proceedings are in process.” Taking to Twitter, PM Modi said, “Pained by the loss of lives due to a road accident in Navsari. My thoughts are with bereaved families. I hope the injured recover soon. An ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. Those injured would be given Rs 50,000.”
