Nepalese students show solidarity with Bangladeshi students against the quota system

Kathmandu (Nepal), July 21 (ANI): About three dozen students affiliated with the All Nepal National Free Students Union - Unified Socialist (ANNFSU-US) held a demonstration in solidarity with protesting Bangladeshi students. The student union of CPN-Unified Socialists chanted slogans and held placards supporting the Bangladeshi protesters. The Nepali demonstrators chanted, “End the violence against the students,” “Stop killing students in Bangladesh,” “From Dhaka to the world, students unite,” and “Solidarity with Bangladeshi students,” among others. The solidarity demonstration in Kathmandu comes amid the imposition of a curfew in Bangladesh since Friday evening, following increased violence. Dozens of students have been reported dead or injured in the ongoing protest, which has turned bloody.
