NIRF to encourage competition among institutes: UGC Chairman

New Delhi, July 15 (ANI): Soon after Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan released the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2022, University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar on July 15 informed that it will encourage competition among institutes, improve general standards of education and research, and will improve our global rankings. While talking to ANI, Jagadesh Kumar said, “We started NIRF rankings in 2016. It determines the strength of institutes and the areas they need to work on. This will encourage competition among institutes, improve general standards of education and research, and will improve our global rankings.”
