The Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj is expected to attract over 40 cores visitors for holy dips at the Sangam. To promote cleanliness and awareness, the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) is leading an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) project under the Namami Gange Programme. A ₹30 crore budget has been approved by NMCG for initiatives such as the "Paint My City" campaign for beautification, deployment of Ganga Sewa Doots, and the installation of murals and hoardings to highlight the importance of keeping the Ganga clean and promoting eco-friendly practices. NMCG will also conduct Ganga Sammelan, media campaigns, and digital outreach to promote waste management and clean technologies, ensuring the event is both spiritually enriching and environmentally sustainable. The "Paint My City" initiative will feature murals at key locations, including the banks of the Ganga, flyovers, buildings, railway stations, and bus stops, highlighting themes of Ganga conservation and the spiritual significance of the Mahakumbh.
