Opposition stage walkout as PTI govt. presents budget in occupied Gilgit Baltistan

Gilgit Baltistan, 28 June, 2021: - The opposition parties tore down budget-copies, created uproar and staged a walkout as Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s PTI-led government presented its first budget in occupied Gilgit Baltistan. They called it discriminatory and exclusionary. Opposition said that the budget didn’t care to address the needs, demands and miseries of people of Gilgit Baltistan but was prepared exclusively to add to the luxury and facilities of the governing parties. Scores of issues including those of the contractual workers, teachers and regional development were kept untouched, opposition accused.
