Over USD 11 mn will be provided to Indian students to study in Australia: FM Marise Payne

Melbourne (Australia), Feb 12 (ANI): Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne on February 12 said that under Maitri scholar's program, the govt will provide over USD 11 million to support Indian students.Marise Payne addressing a joint Press Conference with External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar said, “Under Maitri scholar's program, the Australian government will provide over USD 11 million over 4 years to support Indian students to study at Australia's world-leading universities. Maitri fellowship's program will provide USD 3.5 million over 4 years to build links between future leaders.” She further added, “We'll support mid-career Australian and Indian professionals to collaborate on strategic research initiatives. We'll provide over USD 6 million dollars over 4 years under Maitri cultural partnerships to support cultural exchanges and boost the role of creative industries in our 2 countries.”
