Indore (Madhya Pradesh), Jan 09 (ANI): Extoling India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for contribution and aid to the world during the COVID pandemic, Guyanese President Irfaan Ali on January 09 in Indore at the 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention, thanked country and said that many owe the PM “a debt of gratitude”. The President further recalled India’s vaccine assistance and called it a show of “real love and hope”. “When the world couldn't find vaccine and you faced the challenge of COVID-19 pandemic, you showed the world what real love and hope is when you shared vaccine with the rest of the world,” Guyanese President said. “India used fruits of its independence to assist other developing countries. PM Modi, we owe you a debt of gratitude. When world locked its borders and globalisation failed, you showed that globalisation can still succeed and there's still love when hardest of times hit us,” he added. “It's a significant day in history of India. On 9th Jan 1915 when MK Gandhi returned to India from South Africa. On this day,107 years ago the once physically frail-looking but morally firm man returned and intensified struggle for India's independence,” he further added.
