Padma Awardee Artisan Ghulam Rasool Khan aims to preserve Jamawar artwork in Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 01 (ANI): Padma Shri Awardee Haji Ghulam Rasool Khan works for the preservation of rare Jamawar artwork in Kashmir. He is a resident of Amda Kadal in Srinagar city and well-known artisan and experts in Jamawar Artwork. Khan has a specific workshop at his residence where he did his unique patchwork of Pashmina Shawls. He also has a number of rare masterpieces of shawls. Ghulam Rasool Khan produced several other priceless Jamawar designs for which he had received several state and national awards. He got appreciation from all corners including the government sector. Ghulam Rasool also got Padma Shri Award last year in Delhi. He was praised by the Prime Minister of India for his rare art work. Pashmina Shawls have their own importance and are so famous across the globe due to its purity and unique artwork.
