Pakistani boat carrying 50 kg heroin seized in Gujarat

Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Oct 08 (ANI): Gujarat ATS and Indian Coast Guard caught a Pakistani boat ‘Al Sakar’ near International Maritime Boundary Line in Gujarat on October 08. The boat carrying 6 Pakistani men and 50 kg of heroin worth Rs 350 crores was seized. “In a swift operation, Gujarat ATS and Indian Coast Guard caught a Pakistani boat ‘Al Sakar’ near International Maritime Boundary Line, 50 km from Gujarat. The boat carrying 6 Pakistani men and 50 kg of heroin with a value of Rs 350 crores was seized,” Gujarat DGP Ashish Bhatia said. “It was found that a big drug lord based in Pakistan, Mohammad Kadar had sent the consignment here. The transaction was going to take place on high seas. Received the information, launched the operation and arrested these people. A total of 6 Pakistanis have been nabbed,” said Ashish Bhatia. “Coast Guard and our team have reached Jakhau port, along with them. This is the 6th such operation in the past few years which has been carried out by the ATS in collaboration with other agencies,” the DGP added.
