Pilgrims enjoy hygienic food at newly-opened ‘Langar’ on Vaishno Devi route

Katra (Jammu&Kashmir), May 13 (ANI): Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has started new community kitchen (Langar) service. This community kitchen is situated at new Tarakote Route nearly 3 km from the starting point of the pilgrimage. According to Jagdish Mehra, Dy. CEO., the 24x7 langar has been serving since May 9. Proper arrangements have been made to ensure clean and safe environment. Sanitization units have been installed for proper hygiene of utensils. The local Dogra food was kept as menu so that the people coming from all over the world can get to taste the local cuisine. The Langar can cater nearly 280 people at a time. While speaking to ANI a pilgrim from Ghaziabad, Alok Tyagi said, “The arrangement is very clean and hygienic, and the staff actively keeps a check on the food quality.”
