PM Modi inaugurates 7 sewerage infrastructure projects under ‘Namami Gange’ mission in WB

PM Modi inaugurated 7 sewerage infrastructure projects developed under National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) on Dec 30. Around 20 Sewage Treatment Plants across 612 km network has been set up under the initiative. The projects have been developed at a cost of more than Rs 990 crore. Projects to Benefit Several Municipalities Nabadwip, Kacharapra, Halishar, Budge-Budge, Barrackpore, Chandan Nagar Bansberia, Uttrapara Kotrung, Baidyabati, Bhadreshwar, Naihati, Garulia, Titagarh, Panihati. These projects will add the Sewage Treatment Capacity of over 200 MLD in West Bengal. PM Modi also laid foundation stone for 5 sewerage infrastructure projects to be developed under NMCG mission at an estimated cost of Rs 1585 cr. The projects will add 190 MLD new STP capacity in West Bengal. These projects will benefit areas of North Barrackpore, Hooghly-Chinsura, Kolkata KMC area- Garden Reach & Adi Ganga and Mahestala town.
