PoK staring at famine as unprecedented food crisis hits Pakistan
Jan 12, 2023
Muzaffarabad, (PoK) Jan 12, (ANI): The illegally occupied region of PoK is staring at a catastrophe as an unprecedented food crisis that was caused fundamentally due to the failed Pakistani policies has now spiraled out of control. Stores and grocery shops are running out of kitchen staples. The shortage of wheat flour has led to an increase in the prices of bread and bakery items too. Some said wheat was the key component of the PoK people’s food basket and depriving them of this staple can have catastrophic consequences. If Pakistan endures any form of crisis, then its gravity compounds by several folds in PoK. People in PoK have been at the receiving end of discrimination for over seven decades and the situation continues to remain so even today.
