‘Proud of India’s achievement…’: Sitharaman on nation’s ‘standalone’ 5G

Washington DC (USA), October 14 (ANI): Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman while commenting on projects undertaken by the Government of India with respect to emerging technology said that the 5G launched by the nation is something the citizens can be proud of since it is completely indigenous, standalone. “Our 5G is completely indigenous, standalone. There could be some critical parts coming from countries like Korea, but certainly not from somebody else,” she said on October 13 (local time). She made these remarks after an event at Johns Hopkins University event in Washington on the topic "Technology, Finance and Governance: The Multiplier Effect".
