New York (USA), September 27 (ANI): Executive Director of Observer Research Foundation (ORF) America, Dhruva Jaishankar briefs on various area like QUAD meeting and its agenda, India-USA relations, role of Indian Diaspora in USA elections and more. He said, “The PM was here for less than 3 days and it was a very busy schedule while he was here, mostly because of the QUAD meeting and his bilateral meeting with President Joe Biden, which was also the last one before President Biden leaves his post... The QUAD summit was mainly focused on consolidating all that was done in the last 4 years. There were new initiatives like the Coast Guard, among others. But it was largely about consolidating those gains... India wants peace... India is one of the few countries that has good relations with both Moscow and Kyiv... India has good relations with both Republicans and Democrats and works constructively with both. I don't see the relationship fundamentally changing under either Trump or Harris' Presidency. There will be some shifts with Trump on trade and immigration. There will be some shifts with Kamala Harris also despite her being a Democrat... The Indian-American community is sizeable and growing. They have a sizeable presence in key states like Georgia and Pennsylvania, among others... Both parties are trying to appeal to Indian-Americans as political donors since they are very wealthy and in that sense they can play a big role.”
