Role of farmers crucial in state's economy: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) December 10 (ANI): Recently, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had a pre-budget dialogue with the office bearers and representatives of farmers, cattle herders, dairy unions and tribal areas at the Chief Minister's Office in Jaipur. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that suggestions of common people are important for a democratic government. The state government will try its best to incorporate all the useful suggestions in the agriculture budget. The Chief Minister said that every year a separate budget would be presented for agriculture so that maximum benefits could be given to the farmers. Agriculture, animal husbandry and people associated with it have a significant contribution in the state's GDP and economy. The state government is fully committed to make necessary provisions in the budget for the prosperity of the farmers and animal herders of the state. Along with this, the Chief Minister said that the Chief Minister Kisan Mitra Energy Scheme, formation of Farmers Welfare Fund, Chief Minister Milk Producer Sambal Yojana, loan waiver, cooperative crop loan online registration and distribution schemes were implemented by the state government in the past years for the welfare of the farmers. Apart from this, many important decisions have been taken by the government like Rajasthan Agricultural Processing, Agribusiness and Agricultural Export Promotion Policy. This is bringing positive changes in the agriculture sector. He said that agriculture and dairy sectors can be developed rapidly in Rajasthan through technology and innovations. Despite all the challenges, the state government is making continuous efforts in this direction so that the farmers and animal herders can be made self-dependent.
