Russian engineers launch Nano satellites for space

Feb 08, 2022

Skolkovo (Russia), Feb 08, 2022, (ANI): Nano satellites to photograph the earth have been developed, which are taken into process instead of huge devices. These Nano satellites weight does not exceed 10 kilograms. They are smaller, therefore, making them and even launching them into orbit is also cheaper. The first Russian private production of nano-satellites is located in Skolkovo. These nano-satellites are manufactured according to cubesat standard. It determines the dimensions necessary to connect a satellite to launch vehicle. There are five such devices in orbit at the moment, and this 4 kilogram weighted nano satellite will go into space in December. In space, for instance, in just half an hour, the device’s temperature changes from -60 degree to 100 degree Celsius. These small devices can help solving big tasks. They are capable enough to provide a large amount of data. The device collects these and other data for five years on average. The "vera" engine, developed by nrnu mephi engineers, will help to solve the problem of controlling nano-satellites. Igor Yegorov manufactures insulators & magnetic systems, and assembles capacitor banks himself. The idea appeared in 2019, and the first tests took place very symbolically on the 12th of april 2021. Now the engine start mechanism has already been adjusted.
