Severe cold, dense fog conditions prevail in Delhi, North India

New Delhi, January 08 (ANI):Cold wave conditions and dense fog continues to reelall over North India. According to the India Metrological Department (IMD), similar conditions will continue in the first half of the next week.Dense to very dense fog shroudsover many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi will continue for next 48 hours, as per IMD. Safdarjung in Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 1.9°C. People huddled for bonfire to getrespite from chilling cold. Normal life hit out of gear meanwhile commuters were finding difficulty due to dense fog due to low visibility.Seeking a temporary escape from the chilling cold, north Indians are seen hinging on to tea stalls for a hot cup of their go-to beverage.State governments have set up shelter homes to give respite to the homeless. Due to the dense fog several trains across north India are delayed.
