Mangaluru (Karnataka) January 11 (ANI): Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai says, "The surrender of naxals in Karnataka recently has become a big talking point... The encounter with Vikram Gowda has created a lot of ruckus, especially on the integrity of the encounter followed by the process of surrender where the CM himself seems to be directly involved in it. The Karnataka government's naxal surrender and rehabilitation policy is there for a long time... Earlier when the surrender of Naxals happened, it happened under the District collector and District SP at the local level. This time, the CM directly getting involved raises many serious questions... It is for the government to clarify whether there is an internal fight between the Naxals, whether the outside naxals have influenced the government to do this..." On Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw's statement, seeking Tamil Nadu government's support in the Railway project, he said, "... A 143km railway line passing from Madurai to Thoothukudi, a very important line for the state, is a corrupt project. The Railways Minister very painfully expressed this... A state telling the centre that sorry we cannot hand over the land to you and so please scrap the project, is very shameful. As a Tamilian I feel ashamed about what my state government has done. We have planned an agitation against it..." On former Indian cricketer R Ashwin's statement, he said, "He has said that Hindi is not an official language. i don't think there is more to read on this. The PM is very clear when he said that all languages in India are more like a National language and he is giving respect to all languages... R Ashwin never made any controversial statement..."
