Srinagar-Leh NH-1 reopens after 5 months

Srinagar( J&K), Apr 28 (ANI): After remaining closed for around five months, Srinagar-Leh National Highway-1 is reopened now. Srinagar-Leh NH-1 connects Kashmir Valley with Ladakh region. The road was closed since December last year following heavy snowfall. The highway authorities took around five months to clear the entire 434 km stretch of snow. People in Leh, Kargil, Drass and other parts of the region have faced acute shortage of essentials, particularly vegetables and medicines.
