Symphojazz music event held in Moscow

Moscow (Russia), Nov 09 (ANI/ TV BRICS): Vibrant contrasts and surprising improvisations Moscow International House of Music presents symphojazz. Works by Tsfasman and Rosner, Kapustin and Knushevitsky, Ludvikovsky and Minkh have not been performed on stage for several decades. In order to introduce the public to the musicians who pioneered this unique style in Russia, the staff of the Orpheus TV & radio centre studied more than 100,000 archive documents. To show all the facets of musical masterpieces, 2 completely different orchestras came on stage together for the first time: freedom-loving jazzists and strict "classics". The "Symphojazz: made in Russia" programme was part of the iii "energy of discoveries" international festival - a platform for world premieres of once lost musical works. Among the guests were representatives of diplomatic missions of the Brics countries, Latin America and Africa. TV BRICS international network was the media partner of the event. Radio Orpheus has been reviving the legacy of Russian composers and musicians for several years the scores previously lying in the archives are now being played on the air. Smooth or rhythmic, energetic or lyrical—this style never sounds the same. However, one thing never changes: it brings together jazz and symphonic music enthusiasts from all over the world today.
