Hyderabad Dec 13 (ANI): The Government of Telangana is issuing Shishu aadhar cards at government hospitals. These cards are issued to newborn babies. The new initiative helps in creating an identity for babies soon after they are born. The people are grateful for this initiative. The Medical Superintendent of Golconda Area Hospital, Dr. Mohammad Mazharullah said, "The Telangana government is issuing Shishu aadhar cards for newborn babies born in Telangana. It is done by the Government Commission of family welfare under our Chief Minister KCR and Health Minister Harish Rao. After the delivery of the baby in our hospital, all the newborn babies are enrolled in the Shishu aadhar card. The aadhar card and aadhar number of the mother is mandatory for this. If not, the father's aadhar card can also be used. A newborn baby will get an identity card by this. We issue this within 24 hours of the birth of a child. This is launched for the first time in Telangana and it is a success. I thank Telangana Government, Chief Minister KCR, Health Minister Harish Rao and Commissioner of family welfare."
