Telangana: Governor T Soundararajan expresses concern over arrest of YSRTP Chief

Hyderabad, Nov 30 (ANI): Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan strongly reacted to YSRTP Chief YS Sharmila’s arrest by Telangana Police on November 29. The Governor took her Twitter handle and expressed her concern over the developments and the consequent arrest of YSRTP president, she said, “The visuals of towing away of her car when she was inside the car, were disturbing,” the release further added, “Whatever may be the political background or ideology women leaders and women cadres need to be treated in a more dignified and respectful way in such situations.” YSRTP Chief YS Sharmila protested against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at CM Camp Office on November 29, during which Police dragged away the car of YSRTP Chief Sharmila Reddy with the help of a crane, while she was inside her car. YS Sharmila was detained when she tried to go to ‘Pragathi Bhavan’ to protest against the alleged attack on her and her party activists by the ruling TRS cadre on November 28.
