Telangana govt ties up with LIC for ‘Nethanna Beema’ scheme

Hyderabad, Aug 07 (ANI): To provide financial support to families of handloom and weavers in Telangana, the state government has tied up with the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India for 'Nethanna Beema' scheme. KCR government will give Rs 5 lakh insurance to the state weavers. Under this scheme, the state department of handlooms and textiles has been designated as the nodal agency for the said implementation. The annual premium amount of the beneficiaries will be paid by the state government to the insurance company. The weavers in Hyderabad lauded this scheme and expressed their happiness as it will be a huge boost for their industry and their earnings.
