Telangana: Rythu Vedika scheme for farmers to give higher returns

Nizamabad (Telangana) Oct 30 (ANI): Rythu Vedika Scheme is an initiative that brings farmers together on a single platform to help them achieve higher returns. The State government intends to build up to 2,601 Rythu Vedikas, with 1,580 already completed as of October 28. The government has set aside Rs 572.22 crores for the total construction cost, which is Rs 22 lakh per Rythu Vedika. The agriculture department will cover Rs 12 lakh of the total cost, while MNREGS funds will cover the remaining Rs 10 lakh. Each Rythu Vedika will have two rooms and two toilets with a plinth area of 2,046 square feet. Mission Bhagiratha will provide tap water to Rythu Vedikas. Talking to ANI D. Vithal Rao, Zilla Parishad Chairman said, “Rythu Vedikas very helpful for farmers to grain profitable business. And for solving agriculture problem and also for agriculture training.” M. Ramlu, farmer said, “KCR sir have started Rythu Vedikas scheme in districts. It is very good planning for farmers to discuss problems. And solve agriculture problem and also for agriculture training.”
