New Delhi, May 05 (ANI): Nepal govt’s move to incorporate a new political map on 100 rupee banknotes stirred a major diplomatic controversy. The revised map of Nepal claims Limpiyadhura, Lipulek, and Kalapani in the far-western region as part of its own territory. Reacting to it, India’s EAM S Jaishankar contested Nepal’s decision saying that Nepal is not going to change the reality on the ground. Earlier, in May 2020, Nepal’s updated map incorporating the territories was submitted to the Ministry of Land Management. Diplomatic ties between India-Nepal took a hit in 2020 after inauguration of a road linking Kailash Mansarovar via Lipulekh.
