Traditional folk music & dance event organised in Srinagar to promote Kashmiri culture

Srinagar (J&K), Apr 06, (ANI) – Traditional folk music and cultural dance event was held at Tagore hall in Srinagar. Locals in large numbers turned up for the event. The main motive of organising this event was to spread awareness of rich Kashmiri culture among local youth. ‘Damali’ dance is popular folk dance in Jammu and Kashmir. Event was organised by Ministry of Culture in collaboration with education department of Kashmir at Tagore garden. These type of events can make difference in the society and it helps people, especially new generation to see their culture in past. Audience has appreciated the Government’s step to promote folk dance.
