Turkey earthquake: NDRF’s search and rescue operation underway at Nurdaği

Nurdaği (Türkiye) Feb 13 (ANI): NDRF’s search and rescue operation are underway at Nurdaği area in Turkey. Under ‘Operation Dost’, India was the first to extend help and send NDRF teams to quake-hit Türkiye, Syria after a series of earthquakes. NDRF Officer, Ravinder, “We’re carrying out rescue operation & retrieving bodies from rubble. We’re trying to rescue those who’re trapped in rubble along with local police and Turkey’s Army personnel under ‘Operation Dost’. Locals are supporting with great enthusiasm. India is with Turkey in this difficult times.” Commanding Officer Gurminder said, “3 NDRF teams Urban Search and Rescue are deployed in Nurdagi, Gaziantep and Antakya. Operation is going on for 6 days though chances are less to find someone who is trapped alive. But still, rescue operation is underway and rubbles are being searched to save victim alive. This is for the first time that NDRF dogs, women’s team have also come along with all the equipment on an international rescue operation.”
