London, June 05 (ANI): A large number of Uyghurs along with Hongkongers and Tibetans in various parts of the world gathered to mark the 34th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre. In the United Kingdom, they marched towards the Chinese Embassy in London to seek the support of the UK government and international community against Chinese atrocities. Similar protests were held in other parts of the world including Edinburgh, Toronto and San Francisco to pay tribute to the victims of the Tiananmen Square Massacre. Rahima Mahmut of Stop Uyghur Genocide Campaign said that they will not turn a blind eye to the violations of their rights and lives lost during the incident. She added that they will continue to protest against the oppressive regime of the Chinese Communist Party. It was on June 4, 1989, the peaceful student protesters, who bravely demanded democracy and change, were brutally murdered at the Tiananmen Square.
