Violent clashes in PoJK result in 4 civilian deaths and multiple injuries

Muzaffarabad, PoJK, 14 May 2024: - Pakistan-occupied Jammu Kashmir (PoJK) witnessed violent clashes for several days over high prices in which four people were killed and over 100 injured. The protest was called by the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) over demands, including subsidised flour and electricity. Protesters say the people of PoJK should get electricity at cost since it is generated locally, through Mangla Dam, situated in the Mirpur district.
