New Delhi, January 10 (ANI): Outpacing all criticism, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s 2022 film ‘The Kashmir Files’ has been shortlisted for Academy Award nominations, informed film’s director. The Oscar nominations shortlisting comes as a setback for the Kashmir mass exodus cynics. A box office hit, the film has been at the heart of numerous controversies since its release. A hot topic of debate among netizens, the movie had people divided. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was one to show his support for the movie. Israeli filmmaker Nadav Lapid dubbed the movie a "propaganda, vulgar film" at the 2022 IFFI in Goa. Lapid’s remark outraged all involved in the film and supporters alike. Some were also quick to back him.
