“We were under a lot of pressure…”: Jaishankar talks about India’s decision on oil imports

Vadodara (Gujarat), Oct 01 (ANI): Union External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on October 01 attended an interaction program in Vadodara, Gujarat, and opened up about the pressure that India faced regarding the prices of oil amid the Russia-Ukraine war. “Due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict petrol prices doubled. We had pressure from where to buy the oil but PM Modi and Government were of the view that we have to do what is best for our nation and if pressure comes then we should face it,” the Union Minister said.
