‘Will not compromise on national security…’: Rajnath Singh underscores India’s priorities

Thiruvananthapuram, December 30 (ANI): Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on December 30 said that India will not compromise on national security to maintain friendly relationship with its neighbours. Rajnath Singh made the remarks while addressing the inaugural ceremony of 90th Sivagiri pilgrimage at the Sivagiri Mutt. "We need good and friendly relations with our neighbours. However, we will not compromise on national security to maintain good relations. We do not want good relations with anyone at the cost of our national security," said Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Underlining former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's remarks, Rajnath Singh said, “We can change friends but not our neighbours.”
