Young poet of Kashmir promotes culture with his English poetries

Srinagar (J&K), April 12, 2025 (ANI): The youth from a remote village of Rafiabad district, Baramulla, Manzoor Akash promotes culture with English poetry in Kashmir. He got his education from a government school. After completing his graduation from Degree College, Baramulla, he moved to Srinagar, aiming to get admission in Kashmir University for his post-graduation in English. From his childhood, Manzoor was very much interested in making future bright in English literature. Presently, he is working as an English teacher in his area and contributing a lot as an English teacher. But apart from that he is also a good poet and a writer. The young award-winning author Manzoor wrote five books including culture and other topics. Recently his poetry collection “Between Echoes and Shadows” based on English poetry was appreciated in the literary circles. The book was released by authorities of Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture & Languages and other literary figures of valley. The young author hails from a modest background, a family from a small village of Shangergund, Rafiabad of Baramulla district. He got many honors and awards including the National Peace Award. Due to the unique concepts of writing Manzoor Aakash is Known as the Shakespeare during his university days. He is the youngest short story writer, poet, teacher and regular columnist whose creativity has nourished him to be an author of five books including two poetry collections in a very young age. Being a culture preservationist, Akash has been writing on Cultural Heritage of Kashmir for the last two years which has fetched him the name as ‘Culture Ambassador’ of Kashmir.
