MCD steps up crackdown on illegal construction, seals 61 properties across Delhi

The civic body also issued 32 show-cause notices and passed three demolition orders as part of the day's action. The latest drive followed enforcement action carried out on Wednesday, when 46 properties were demolished, and another 20 were sealed for violations of the Master Plan of Delhi and building bye-laws.

AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj stated, “On Thursday, I went to the South Zone office in Green Park along with councillors from my party from the South Zone. We sought the building plan and sanctioned map of the PG that RK Puram MLA Anil Sharma has described as legal. After some initial reluctance, the MCD provided us with the plans of this PG, which was constructed in 2022.”
