"Fog conditions in Delhi likely to persist tomorrow, a day after it": IMD scientist

"Actually, because of this western disturbance, it stops the wind. Winds are variable and very calm and moisture is increasing. Both conditions are very favourable for the fog formation, especially once this western disturbance moves eastwards, we expect the northerly winds because there is some light snowfall expected over the western Himalayan region. So northwesterly winds will start to come. So, these fog conditions are likely to persist tomorrow as well as the day after. For Delhi, tomorrow we have given some light to moderate to dense fog and we are expecting these fog conditions will continue, for maybe one or two days more," she added.
