Gilgit Baltistan, 18 October, 2022: - Protests against an unprecedented surge in taxes have gained momentum across illegally occupied Gilgit Baltistan. Importers and exporters staged a protest at NLC (National Logistics Cell) Dry Port against exorbitant taxes. Importers are saying that tax collector officials change every week and each collector has its own policies. The ports are frequently closed and people are facing net issues. Also, tax collectors have their own internal differences due to which businessmen are getting tortured and facing customs problems.
