Inflation used to be in double digits during UPA rule: Piyush Goyal

New Delhi, July 25 (ANI): Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on July 25 said that Opposition is running away from the debate on Inflation as it used to be in double digits during UPA rule.“Government is ready for talks on inflation as we want people to know what steps we have taken to keep inflation low as compared to other countries. Opposition is running away from the debate as they know they will be exposed,” he said. “Inflation used to be in double digits during Congress and UPA rule but now it is around 7 pc which is less as compared to other countries considering the problems around the world. Many Opposition-ruled states haven’t decreased VAT on petrol and diesel yet,” he added.
