Srinagar, October 22 (ANI): In a commendable healthcare initiative, the Indian Army's 31 Sub Area, operating under the Chinar Corps, has launched a specialized medical camp for pregnant women and lactating mothers in Srinagar. The camp, organized with the support of the Metro Zone Group from Indore and Samooh NGO, seeks to provide free access to essential medicines and professional healthcare counseling to underserved communities in Kashmir. The primary objective of the camp is to bridge the gap in maternal and child healthcare by offering vital services to women who may struggle to access proper medical care. In addition to medical consultations, attendees will receive crucial health supplies, contributing to the well-being of both mothers and their newborns. In conjunction with the medical camp, the Indian Army is also facilitating a registration drive under the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) to assist specially-abled individuals and senior citizens. This initiative aims to ensure they receive necessary aids and support to improve their quality of life. This multi-faceted approach highlights the Indian Army’s commitment, in collaboration with its partners, to uplift vulnerable communities in Srinagar. By focusing on maternal health and extending support to differently-abled individuals and seniors, the effort demonstrates a comprehensive strategy for community empowerment and welfare.
